On June 30, 2023, Su Yung and Billie Starkz defeated Blair Onyx and Missa Kate, respectively, to qualify to wrestle for the inaugural women’s title in WrestleMax STL. However, both Yung and Starkz were unable to compete on August 26 (the date set to determine a champion), so an interim titlist was crowned.
