Jackson & James battle in South Broadway’s first-ever cage match, March 11

Gary Jackson and Brian James are two perennial rivals at the South Broadway Athletic Club.  They meet in a steel cage match on March 11 at the storied venue.

The men’s rivalry has intensified over the past few months, and failed to settle after a lumberjack match in January.  The “human cage” on that night (other wrestlers surrounded the ring) failed to be unbiased, and a giant brawl erupted.

In collaboration with SICW promoter Herb Simmons, the fence will keep Gary Jackson and Brian James in the ring and it will keep everyone else out on Saturday.

Unbelievably, the match will be the first time the ring has ever been surrounded by a fence at the Soulard cornerstone.  That’s saying something, considering the modern promotion at the SBAC has run consistently since 1985.
