Long live the king! MMWA & SICW Classic Wrestling Champion Ricky Cruz will defend the former at the South Broadway Athletic Club on Saturday, June 8.

Since January 2011, two champions have reigned atop the partner companies MMWA and SICW. On May 25 in East Carondelet, Ricky Cruz reunited the mantles as he picked up the Classic Wrestling Championship at the Larry Matysik/Bruiser Brody Memorial.

To be clear, the MMWA and SICW titles are not unified, but are simply held by the same man.

World League Wrestling and Derek Stone returns to the Race Wrestling Arena in Troy, Mo. on Saturday, June 1. The new WLW champion makes his second title defense, and his first in Troy, since uprooting Jon Webb from Webb’s yearlong title reign last month.

World League Wrestling starts one hour early at the Race Arena in Troy, Mo., Saturday, May 4.

The main event is a title opportunity for 3-time WLW champ Derek Stone, who earned it by winning an eight-man battle royal two weeks ago. Stone last held the gold in 2000.

“Hybrid Ace” Jon Webb defends his title against Camaro Jackson, one-half of the hot tag team Alpha Omega in the main event. Notably, this is the first defense of Year #2 of Webb’s title reign, which began at Night of Champions III on March 10, 2018.
