Eight men remain from the initial 16 in the bracket. In addition to the quarterfinal round, the promotional strap is on the line as well. “Lights Out” Adrian Surge challenges for the title defended by Makaze for the first time in 15 months.

The defense is Rose’s first since grabbing the vacated belt in a six-way ladder match on April 21. Outlaw earned the opportunity by winning a five-person gauntlet match last month.

Flash Flanagan is up against what could either be his greatest challenge or his easiest when wrestling is back at the East Carondelet Community Center on Saturday, July 21.
The main event features the top five competitors in SICW in a “gauntlet match.” The gauntlet event starts with two men (drawn randomly or methodically seeded) who wrestle to a fall. The loser is replaced by the next competitor. This continues until all five men have wrestled and only one remains.
If the champion Flanagan comes in at #1, the challenge will be nearly insurmountable. However, a #5 draw could be a walk in the park over a single exhausted opponent.

The South Broadway Athletic Club hosts another evening of MMWA Wrestling on Saturday, July 14.
The main event pits top heavyweight contenders Moondog Rover against The Big Texan, in a match fans hope will finally produce a winner.
In May, the pair battled to a double countout in what was to determine the next MMWA Championship challenger. Last month, the men were joined in a three-way match with Deacon Cash. However, that scrap was scrapped to a no contest when Damion Cortess interfered.

Dynamo Pro Wrestling holds its second annual “Riot on the River” tournament over three events this summer at The Loading Dock in Grafton.
The opening round bouts of the knockout take place on Friday, July 6. This year, the tournament has doubled in size to 16 men!
“Lights Out” Adrian Surge first rose to prominence locally when he won the tournament and trophy belt last year in the inaugural event.
