It started with 16 men, and now the semifinal round will bring the SICW title tournament to two this Saturday, April 15 at the East Carondelet Community Center.
While Kasa and Hargas meet for one entry into the final, the other finalist is seemingly determined: Marc Houston.
Houston caused a no contest between Flash Flanagan and Curtis Wylde, which meant that Houston advances to the final match. SICW management is considering options with regard to Houston getting a bye to the final.

From the beginning, the National Wrasslin’ League set out to change professional wrestling in Saint Louis. This Sunday at the Casa Loma Ballroom, the promotion crowns the first-ever St. Louis Champion.
By “first-ever,” they really mean that. There has never been a champion to carry the title of our city before.
A bit of trivia: Larry Matysik once mentioned to Sam Muchnick that the St. Louis Wrestling Club missed an opportunity to name the classic Missouri crown as the “Saint Louis Championship.” Now, such a title comes to fruition with the tournament’s conclusion.
However, the final tournament match is not determined. The Maverick-Douglass semifinal was postponed from two weeks ago, due to Maverick suffering a concussion at the hands of Cornell Douglass.
That match will open the card, with the winner to meet finalist Todd Letterman in the main event.

The quest to crown a new MMWA champion continues this Saturday, April 8 at the South Broadway Athletic Club. Three round robin bouts are set, with the tournament scheduled to conclude with a knockout stage in June.
As a part of the tournament, Ace Hawkins defends the Missouri Heavyweight title for the fourth time, as recognized by MissouriWrestlingRevival.com. Moondog Rover, the challenger, finds this treat to be his first crack at this State crown.
Hawkins comes off a tough April Fools’ Day, where his match with Da’Marius Jones went to a no contest after several wrestlers (including Moondog) attacked “The Ace who runs the place.”

For the first time in nearly five years, MMWA Wrestling (South Broadway’s wrestling franchise) returns to Lemay in Saint Louis County on Saturday, April 1.
The card is preceded by live music, which begins at 6 P.M. The fundraiser for the “Pettus Memorial” is to raise funds so a man can bury his family.
This site has just gotten word from Missouri Wrestling Revival that MWR’s Missouri State Title is on the line.

NWL STL has moved its pro wrestling events from Thursday evenings to Sunday afternoons. The first Sunday card will be held on March 26th at 6 P.M. at the Casa Loma Ballroom. The NWL STL tournament semifinal round will be decided that night.
“Having the events on Thursday evening was initially our best option,” said Major Baisden, League president. NWL STL has delivered five bi-weekly cards in St. Louis since opening earlier this year. “However, it has always been our goal to be an entertainment option for the families of St. Louis. Running on Sunday will make it easier on them to come out.
St. Louis has historically been a dominant pro wrestling town with loyal fans fondly recalling Wrestling at the Chase events and Saturday morning wrestling on TV. “I’m looking forward to our events moving to Sunday,” said Matt Jackson, General Manager of NWL STL. “The move will make it easier for fans to commit to a weekend evening spent watching wrestling, instead of competing with typical midweek activities.”

Eight men vie for the vacant SICW Classic Wrestling Championship in a tournament which continues March 18 at the East Carondelet Community Center.

Gary Jackson and Brian James are two perennial rivals at the South Broadway Athletic Club. They meet in a steel cage match on March 11 at the storied venue.
The men’s rivalry has intensified over the past few months, and failed to settle after a lumberjack match in January. The “human cage” on that night (other wrestlers surrounded the ring) failed to be unbiased, and a giant brawl erupted.
In collaboration with SICW promoter Herb Simmons, the fence will keep Gary Jackson and Brian James in the ring and it will keep everyone else out on Saturday.
Unbelievably, the match will be the first time the ring has ever been surrounded by a fence at the Soulard cornerstone. That’s saying something, considering the modern promotion at the SBAC has run consistently since 1985.

World League presents one of its prime events of the year at the Race Wrestling Arena in Troy on March 11. In addition to the strong card, former world heavyweight champion Kurt Angle will be the guest referee for the main event between Leland Race and Jayden Fenix.
Angle will host a meet and greet earlier in the day at a separate event at the same venue.
Plus, Jon Webb defends his 220 lb. limit title against former tag team partner Jack Gamble.
